Can't always quit and go home because you work for the boss from Hades. There are bills to pay and kids to get through school. Maybe part of the answer is to "accept" the situation as it is. I don't mean like it, I mean accept it. We give energy to those things we fight. Even if the fight is only in your head. You know what I mean, you don't like the guy so several times a day you beat him up in you mind. Big waste of energy - "Never let anyone live in your head rent free!"
Acceptance is allowing the reality of the situation to be just what it is, without judging it "good or bad." It does not mean sitting on you hands and pining away in misery. It means determining what you do next. My Father had an old German Proverb that went like this, "You have to take it as it happens, but you should try to make it happen the way you take it." It's hard to admit that I really want someone else to change so I have a better life. What about me changing to accept the life I have and find the good in it - now that's energy at its best!
